My Kid is a Genius!

A few weeks ago, we discovered that Avery loves knocking down towers of blocks built by her Auntie Beth! Ever since we realized how much she enjoys doing this, we've been building lots of towers at our house and laughing with Avery as she knocks them down -- sometimes before we've even finished building it!

Yesterday, Avery and I were enjoying our daily "destruction time" when she picked up her little block and stacked it on another one! She is so smart!


Ok, seriously. I realize my kid may not be a genius, but she is definitely making new connections and figuring out how her little world works!

Avery's first birthday is quickly approaching. We've been doing lots of projects to try and get ready for her party. We're hoping to have our living room and dining room painted, the kitchen and dining room tiled and some yard work finished before her party on June 13th. It's a big to do list to accomplish before June 13th, but it's good to have a deadline! :) We'll see how things go.

I ordered Avery's invitations yesterday. The theme for her party is going to be ducks. We've been trying to get some good bathtub pictures to use for the invitations and we had a few to choose from!
