Savannah Land

Thursday morning Avery and I along with several friends from work went to Savannah Land in Pleasant Hill, MO to enjoy a morning of making some new animal friends! We got to see all kinds of furry creatures including kangaroos, monkeys, chimps, foxes, camels, bison, hyenas, an aadvark, deer, and zebras...to name a few.

When we first arrived at the farm, we had the opportunity to get up close and personal with a baby monkey, kangaroo, and fox. Avery really didn't pay much attention to the animals at first. I think she was more interested in all the other kids and a little scared by the very loud squawking of some exotic birds.

Avery really seemed to enjoy playing with the rocks along the gravel road more than anything...but there was one animal she got VERY excited about seeing...A DOG! How typical! Oh, well we still had fun! :)

Avery also seemed to enjoy following Ella and Darby around for the day. Avery thinks she's pretty cool stuff to hang out with the big girls...:)
