Meet Hadley Elyse

Our family welcomed it's newest member today. Aunt Beth and Uncle Jonathan had their first baby, a little girl, named Hadley Elyse. Hadley was born at 2:50pm today, February 4th. She weighs 5lbs 12oz and is 17 3/4 inches long. Mom, baby, and dad are all doing great. Elizabeth did a great job during her labor!

Little Miss Hadley arrived 2 1/2 weeks early, but is absolutely perfect! Because Aunt Beth and Hadley's "regular" doctor is out of town, they had the privilidge of having our friend, Hilary, step in and take care of both mom and baby. This is extra special because Dr. Hilary also delivered Avery and took good care of mommy!

Auntie Jo did go into "nurse mode" for a bit and helped Hadley's daddy do a syringe feeding when her blood sugar got a little low, but she's been doing great and has kept her blood sugars up since then.
We are so happy to have Hadley here. She is absolutely adorable and we are thrilled to welcome her to the family. Avery did not get to meet "baby cousin" today. Miss Avery has had a yucky cough for the past few days and today she spiked a fever of 101.7. Hopefully she'll be better soon, so Avery and Hadley can have their first "play-date!"
