Family Date Night

Avery and I have loved having daddy home the past couple of weeks, but with the start of the new year we were anticipating several weeks of a very busy travel schedule for Braxton. When he is able to be home we try hard to protect our time together and do special things as a family.

This Friday was daddy's last day at home before leaving for a week long work trip, so we planned a family date night. We enjoyed a yummy dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then took Avery for her first movie in a theater. We saw Tangled in 3D. I wasn't too sure how Avery would do. She doesn't like scary parts, even on DVDs at home that she's watched numerous times. And I didn't know if she'd wear the 3D glasses, but the kiddo did great. She wore her glasses almost the whole time and just snuggled in close to mommy during any scary parts. I think her favorite part of the whole experience was having popcorn and drinking Sprite! :)

Needless to say, we had a fun family night out! (I took these pictures before I found the kid sized glasses! Ha ha ha)

Here's an updated belly picture. 31 weeks! Time is flying by and with Braxton gone so much between now and this little one's expected arrival date, I feel like March 9 could be here really soon. I have a lot to get done on her room, but am not feeling "pressure" to get it done like I did with Avery. Maybe it's a sign of already being a more laid back second time around mom, but I figure if it gets done before she comes, great. If not, it will be ok...they'll still let us bring her home with an incomplete nursery! :)
