Miss Riley was 3 months old on the 9th. (Gosh, this post is a little late!) Totally have those mixed feelings - it seems like yesterday she was born, but also feels like she's been a part of "us" for much longer.
Riley Kate is so sweet. Definitely more serious than Avery was, but when she smiles it just melts your heart.
Riley is starting to laugh out loud. She's "talks" a lot. Who knew "goos and coos" could be such beautiful sounds! She's getting to be a pro at rolling over from her tummy to her back and sitting in her bumbo seat. She is getting stronger by the day and she seems to be at a point where she kinda enjoys her tummy time. Probably because she just rolls over as soon as she gets tired of it! She's discovered her hands in the last few weeks and is grabbing onto toys that hang in front of her - and mom's hair! :)
Riley is definitely growing. We don't have a doctor's appointment this month, but I "threw" her on the scale when were at the doctor's office for big sister's appointment and she's right at 12 pounds!
Riley is eating six times a day about every 3 to 4 hours. She usually goes to bed around 9 and wakes around 3 (I think just to make sure Mom doesn't get too much sleep) then eats around 5, but goes back to sleep until about 8. Napping during the day is a work in progress. She still mostly just cat naps as we run errands, but some days I'm able to get her to sleep for 2-3 hours in the afternoon.
I'm definitely noticing that we don't take nearly as many pictures of Miss Riley as we did of Avery...obviously we're much busier with two than we were with one, but I'm hoping to keep things updated for her. After all, I know what it's like to be the "forgotten second born!" (Haha...just kidding, mom!!!)
