Easter

We had a great Easter day - much of which went undocumented due to the busyness of this mama. We started our day with breakfast before church with dad's family followed by a wonderful celebration service at church.

After church, we enjoyed a delicious lunch with the mommy's family.


This year was extra special, not only because it was Riley's first Easter, but because we were blessed to have Great Grandma June visiting from Oregon.

Of course our day, wouldn't have been complete without an egg hunt.



Unfortunately, Riley had a HUGE spit up mid feeding that required complete clothing change for baby and a shower for mom, so we missed out on a sister picture and some more celebrating. I'm thinking we'll have to have a "make-up" picture day because these ruffly matching dresses were just too stinkin' cute!

Avery's funny Easter quote this year came while she and I were discussing the Easter story. At one point I said, "Jesus died so he could clean the sin from our hearts." To which she replied, "But Mommy, I like the sin!"
