What a important, powerful moment - to stand beside your family, in front of your church family, with your children in your arms and be reminded of (by your own dad, no less) the responsibility to teach your children what it means to live a life that is a reflection of Christ. Wow.
Braxton and I talked in the car after church about what a good reminder my dad's words were to us that what really matters isn't so much what we say. What really matters is how we live. Actions speak louder than words, don't they? How can we expect our girls to live lives of grace, mercy, and love for others if we don't have a home that overflows in grace, mercy and love for each other!? Not a simple task by any means and we've got room for improvement, but we're committed.
We're grateful we are surrounded by family and friends who are an encouragement to us. We are so blessed.
Isn't she beautiful!?
I had to include this picture. It totally captures life these days and learning to balance loving and caring for two!
Here's the video of the dedication. One of my favorite parts is when we start to pray, Avery says, "I don't want to pray!" Looks like we have our work cut out for us!

That was beautiful! Your dad said some very nice, peaceful words...the peaceful one that he is. :)
I think Riley looks like Braxton in a dress. Very pretty she is. :)
