Girls with Germs - Yuck!

Mama got a real test of caring for two kiddos this past week when Avery got sick. Thursday she woke up complaining of her stomach hurting and had a low grade fever. I honestly thought she was just needing some snuggle time with mom, but when she woke up 15 minutes into her afternoon nap covered in puke, I decided she must have really been sick. See how I figured that out...

I was lucky enough that I'd just finished feeding Riley and she was content to sleep in her bouncy seat for an hour or so while I washed sheets, bathed Avery and gave some, still, much needed TLC to my oldest.

Having one puking while still wanting to constantly love on little sister put me in crazy mode as far as cleaning and hand washing goes. Riley already was fighting a nasty cold and eye infection, so we tried hard to keep her from getting anything else.

A couple of days later, Avery was feeling mostly better, so she and daddy helped baby sister with some tummy time.

She's getting so strong! You can tell she doesn't feel good, though. Poor baby.

Story time with mom before bed. Still one of my favorite parts of the day - for so many reasons! :)

I'm sure learning a lot about being a mom to two...like it might be almost impossible to get a good picture of both girls! (Especially when one is hungry and tired!)

My sweet, sleepy baby is 4 weeks old!
